Senior Android Engineer – New York – Media Platform.

My client are an innovative media platform based in New York. They are going through an exciting phase of growth and require an experienced Android Developer to join their development team. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading lead and architecting their Android application from scratch.

At the moment this is a remote position however they will expect you onsite once it is safe to return to the office.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement an Android product from the ground- up.
Work effectively across a multi – disciplinary team including Product owners and software engineers.
Build and deliver features in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Create a seemless Android UI which adapts to different screen sizes and configurations.
Implement best standards & practices
Contribute to automating processes and tooling within the project.
Take ownership over features from development through QA and delivery

 

Requirements

Technology focused degree or relevant commercial experience
3+ years experience developing native Android apps from scratch
1+ year working with Kotlin
Experience working across the full mobile development life cycle
Experience with automated testing
You have previously published apps to the Google Play Store
